If you’re looking for an outdoor Swansea family photographer who will capture your family in all their messy, imperfect perfection, I’m your girl. The size of your family doesn’t matter at all: one kids, two kids, three kids, seven…all are welcome.

No awkward posing, just lots of fun and laughter!

Families are awesome, unpredictable, unique things. In my experience, no two are the same, which makes them a lotta fun to photograph. My favourite thing to do is get you and your family out into the great outdoors and just let you all run wild.

It really does make for the best photos.

I do have a beautiful home studio in Swansea where most of my newborn photography takes place but trust me: it’s better to get families outdoors. They need space and fresh air and a bit of freedom in order to really relax in front of the camera. Trust me, when you see the photos you won’t care that the wind’s whipping your hair up, you’ll just be delighted by how happy your family looks.

The important thing about family photography is that it acts like an heirloom. In fifteen, twenty, thirty years time, you might be showing these photos to grandchildren and giving them a little glimpse into the past. These photos aren’t just for you: they’re for those who come after you.

I try not to put any limits on your family during the session, but I will send you an info pack beforehand to give you a bit of a steer on what to wear to ensure your photo’s look gorgeous.

Evenings are best for location sessions because it’s full of beautiful soft light, and we might even be lucky enough for a gorgeous sunset.

What should we wear?

When you feel good – you look good. So I would definitely recommend wearing something that makes you feel good about yourself. There is no dress code for my lifestyle photography sessions. I just ask you to avoid bright colours and also to avoid clothing with big logos as these can be very distracting. During our consultation I can help guide you with outfit choices – so don’t worry!

What happens if it rains for an outdoor session?

Skin is waterproof – isn’t it? Seriously though, that depends on you! If it’s just light rain or showers, then I’m more than happy to go ahead with the photography session – embracing the rain can really add to the mood of your photos. However, if you’d prefer to reschedule due to bad/extreme weather then that’s no problem at all. After all, these are your photos and I want you to get the most out of our photography session.

How long does the session last?

Anywhere between 1-2 hours. Some people take a little longer to feel relaxed in front of the camera, so we take as long as needed to make sure you have a positive experience and to make sure we create beautiful images.
