The Couple

So I first met Lorraine and Chris some time last summer when they first started their hunt for a wedding photographer. I knew then that we would be a good match for each other (yes, I mean all three of us – not just Lorraine and Chris).

What was supposed to be a consultation turned into around a 2 hour chat over a costa coffee while we talked about anything and everything including Chris’ job move to China.

(Lets just say that if you know, then you know)!

The Wedding

I think its safe to say that this was not your average wedding. Not even in the slightest. I think the best way to describe it is to think of getting all your favourite people together in an amazing venue, light the BBQ and sit back and enjoy a luxury garden party with a beer or cocktail while sitting outside in the sun.

This was probably the most chilled wedding I have ever had the pleasure of attending, and its definitely up there as one of my favourite weddings of 2019!

The Girls

Okay, so we all know the NUMBER ONE, most important rule of attending a wedding is don’t we? The main rule of any wedding is DO NOT wear white. The bride should be the ONLY female in a white dress on her wedding day.

Well lets just say that Lorraine isn’t one for rules. Not only did she wear the most beautiful white dress for her wedding, but so did her bridesmaids and I think the looked drop dead gorgeous!

The Lads!

2 Words – Black Tie! I don’t care who you are or where you’re going. A man in Black Tie is as dapper as you are ever going to get!

Im personally an easy girl to please, a pair of jeans with some Vans or Converses and I’m happy. However, there is something about gents in a dickie bow and formal attire that just speaks to me.

You’re not going to make any bigger statement than this. Well you’d think not anyway. I won’t mention it directly – but I wonder if you can work it out for yourself…..

Lorraine and Chris

The final event!

I always try and steal my couples away for half hour or so during the wedding to try and get some alone time, just the three of us!

As much as you love your friends and family its important to remember that although they help make your day special, it isn’t about them.

Its about you two as a couple, and its my job to make sure that you at least get a few minutes of uninterrupted alone / snogging time while I tag along making sure I get the best photographs possible.

Lorraine and Chris almost got a little more than just a few minutes though. As we were driving to go and get some couple photos, we stupidly made the mistake of taking a side road up a farm. And by side road I mean off road.

We sort of got stuck. The car wheels kept spinning and that dreaded feeling kicked in as I thought we had a puncture. And what made it worse was the lane was so narrow  we wouldn’t have been able to change the tyre if we tried.

Luckily enough though, it was a false alarm and we finally found a nice secluded woodland and created some amazing wedding photos.

Lanelay Hall

I must say that I was blown away with not only the venue itself – as this is an amazing wedding venue in South Wales, but also the staff.

Lanelay Hall also have onsite spa treatments too, so there’s no rush to leave after the wedding.

Lanelay Hall has been designed to such a high standard, with amazing attention to detail that getting stunning wedding photos here makes my job a little easier.

I will leave you with a few of my favourite images from the wedding, and will tag the other suppliers involved in the wedding below.

I’d just like to say a Huge Congratulations to

Mr & Mrs Jones

Love Elicia xx
